Privacy notice
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This page explains what tosl.si does with information, and what it doesn't. In short: your money data stays in your browser and we never see it.
Who we are
info@tosl.si
If you have a question about privacy, write to us at this address.
Your money data
The transactions, categories, budgets, recurring rules and settings you enter are saved only in your browser's local storage, on your device. We don't send them to any server, and we can't see or recover them.
So back them up: in the app, use "Back up" or "Export CSV". If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the data is gone unless you have a copy.
Cookies and local storage
We only use what the app needs to work, or what you ask for:
- Browser local storage: tosl:transactions, tosl:settings and tosl:recurring hold your transactions, settings and recurring rules.
- The tosl-lang cookie (one year): remembers the language you chose. It is set only when you press the language switch.
We use no analytics, advertising or third-party trackers. Because we only use necessary storage and your language choice, we don't show a cookie banner.
Hosting and technical logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any host, it processes technical data when you visit, such as your IP address and browser details, in server logs, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely.
Fonts are part of the site and are not loaded from third parties.
Accounts
There is no registration or login yet. Before there is, we will update this notice and say clearly what data we collect, why, and where we keep it.
Your rights
Because we don't keep your money data, there is nothing for us to correct or delete. You can do that yourself at any time in the app, or by clearing your browser data.
For any data we might process (such as technical logs), you have the right to access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can also complain to the supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si).
Changes
If something changes, we will update this notice and the date above.
